Condensate separators use centrifugal motion to force the separation of the condensate from the compressed air. The rotation causes the condensate to adhere to the centrifugal separating walls. The condensate is removed from the system through the condensate drain. CKL-B condensate separators are designed for mass efficient liquid removal from compressed air and vacuum systems. Inside the housing there is a guide vane that creates controlled air rotation.
As a result of the centrifugal action, liquids (water, oil) and large particles are pushed against the wall of the housing, slowed down and accumulate at the bottom of the separator housing as condensate. The vortex free zone at the bottom of the filter housing prevents the collection and transfer of the condensate to the air network. To discharge condensate from the CKL-B cyclone separator, it is necessary to install automatic or electronic condensate drainage.
